There will be debates whether the doctor is actually three different characters. The most convincing theory is that while they all have the same appearance, Alex is actually a different character with the same exact personality and appearance as Trent/Doctor. In my opinion, they're the same characters just because they have the same personality and look. This fanlisting is for all three so if you're a fan, go ahead and join. Many people debate what his real name is. In BTN, there was an event glitch which led people to believe that his name is "Tim". Some people think his name is Alex Trent due to Magical Melody (Alex) and Harvest Moon DS (Dr. Trent). Generally, people can call the doctor anything they want, and people will know who they are talking about (Not to get confused with A Wonderful Life's Hardy).
